… while reducing maintenance costs!Due to the manufacturing process, new rails generally have a slight deflection at each end. These deflections form dents in the track which reduce ride comfort and may result in higher maintenance costs because of increased strain on the whole track system.
Drawing on our extensive experience in all areas of rail processing, we have combined straightening, welding and milling technologies to produce long welded rails with virtually no deflection from the nominal longitudinal profile. These welds are almost completely undetectable, even for inspection vehicles, and do not have the aforementioned dent anymore. Vossloh Rail Services premium rails can be delivered in lengths up to 180 m.
